Hello I own an ASUS TUF FX505DT. My processor easily touches 85-90c during gaming under the Performance (Balanced) mode. I read on the internet that temperature higher than 90c is bad for processors and will give rise to thermal throttling. I usually game for 2 hours, at max 4 hours. I definitely dont want to cause any damage to my processor.AMDRyzen 4000 Laptops: Disable Turbo Boost / Decrease Temperatures! Yes, of course, but I think that this tweak is worth mentioning considering how hot the Ryzen 4000 series laptop processors have been running. This tweak is not very useful for a desktop CPU. True, but if you've seen some of the ASUS TUF Gaming A15 or ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14
Gaming - Turbo - playing Far Cry 5 for 30 minutes, Turbo Profile, fans at 45-46 dB (43 dB in Armoury Crate) The CPU is allowed to boost for longer in Turbo, this leads to worse temperatures in comparison. I cannot disable USB power in standby (Suspend to RAM) mode. This is a major issue of this notebook. Reply.

Got it Iwent to "MY GAMES" on OMEN Gaming Hub, clicked my game (Valorant) and Booster was turned on. I turned it off and don't have the issue anymoreSo, that means there are 3 options to enable/disable booster. I double checked booster being on with my other games and they were already off. My Games > Boost AllMy Games > Click a gameOptimizer Turboboost is just when ur CPU has some good time and decides to work a bit harder. I'd recommend volting your cpu back to normal and disabling turbo boost. Or if you lose performance, you can use Intel Extreme tuning utility to control how the turbo boost performs. Hope this helps. I'll try that. Profile2 should be set up the same as profile one with the exception of the multiplier, "disable turbo", or both. If you check "disable turbo" on this profile, then it will ensure that your CPU, once it hits a toasty 92C (assuming a value of 8 DTS in the options—you could set this profile to trigger at a more conservative temperature Bydefault the max processor state is 100% and Intel Turbo Boost kicks off when the CPU reaches 100% usage. If we set the max processor state to 99%, the Turbo Boost technology is disabled. To set the max processor state, open the Advanced setting panel of the Power Options: Control Panel > Power Options > Change Plan Settings > Change Advanced PressAlt + Z to summon GFE's overlay, then click the Performance option towards the right of your screen. Nvidia's Performance panel will appear. Near the middle you'll see the option toYoursimple answer is dead wrong. The CPU 100% absolutely CAN'T go past the stock multiplier if you disable turbo boost. If I turn turbo boost off on my 6850K it locks the multiplier to 36 even if I've set it to 42 just 5 lines up in my BIOS. The only time an overclock should disable turbo is if you are doing a BCLK OC that pushes your CPU
IntelTurbo Boost Technology is a way to automatically run the processor core faster than the marked frequency. The processor must be working in the power, temperature, and specification limits of the Processor Base Power (previously known as Thermal Design Power). This results in increased performance of both single and multithreaded applications.MSIMotherboards come with Performance boost, this ramped my 3.9 base to the turbo setting of 4.5. I use turbo as that is what Intel's cpu uses for its mild overclocking. After disabling the boost, my pc is running cooler, quieter but a tad bit slower. This is a good trade off.
Oncedone, hit the "Change Advanced Power Settings". Under the settings, head over to Wireless Adapter Settings > Power Saving Mode > and change on battery and Plugged in option to Maximum Performance. Likewise, make sure everything is 100% under Minimum Processor State and Maximum Processor State.
